Cosmetic Dentistry

It's impossible to overstate the emotional, social and even professional benefits that smiling with confidence can give you. If you find you cover your mouth when you smile, or even hold back your smile because you don't want to show your teeth, you should consider what cosmetic dentistry — the art of smile enhancement — can do for you.

Before and After Cosmetic Dentistry.

There's so much that can be done these days to improve the appearance of a person's smile — at any age. From powerful, professional whitening treatments to amazingly realistic porcelain veneers to state-of-the-art dental implants, there's a wide range of exciting possibilities.

The first step in any smile makeover is a thorough dental examination to make sure that your cosmetic problems really are just that and not a sign of underlying dental disease. Once your health has been established, your smile can be cosmetically enhanced in a variety of ways.

Your Smile Makeover

The most important job you have as a member of your own smile makeover team is to communicate exactly what you don't like about your smile and how you'd like it to be different. Before the first consultation, give some thought to the following questions:

What do you like or dislike about the color, size, shape, and spacing of your teeth?

Are you pleased with how much your teeth show, both when you smile and when your lips are relaxed?

Do you want teeth that are perfectly aligned and a bright “Hollywood White,” or would you prefer a more natural look with slight color, shape and shade variations?

Would you like more or less of your gums to show when you smile?

It is extremely helpful for you to bring in pictures you have collected — of smiles you like, smiles you don't like, and/or photos of the way your own smile used to look if that's the result you're aiming for. Now is the time to get started on creating a smile that will make you feel as good as you look!

Cosmetic Treatment Options

A successful smile makeover is a team effort between you and the dentists who treat you. Depending on which procedures you choose, other highly skilled professionals such as dental lab technicians may also play a crucial role. Some common cosmetic dentistry procedures include:

SureSmile Aligners

The clear way to your ideal smile. SureSmile Aligner is a series of transparent, removable and virtually invisible clear aligners designed to progressively straighten your teeth into their ideal position. An orthodontic treatment with SureSmile Aligners can help achieve your ideal smile faster, easier, and more discretely than you ever thought possible.

How does SureSmile Aligners work?

A 3-D model of your teeth is created that allows our dentists to analyze your bite from every angle possible. Using this model and our state-of-the-art treatment planning software, the movement of each tooth is calculated with unparalleled precision. We then determine your optimal and completely customized treatment plan. Your custom aligners are made using industry-leading clear Essix plastic materials.

The clear way to your ideal smile.

Your smile deserves a clinician developed treatment plan. Most importantly, the SureSmile Aligner system gives you the peace of mind that your treatment plan is developed by a dental professional. Our clinic has invested in state-of-the-art equipment and software that allows us to see your teeth “root to crown” at every angle imaginable. You can be confident your personalized treatment plan is fully customized and designed for a long-term healthy, happy smile. Take the first step towards a more confident and healthy smile.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are made with a titanium implant and a custom-fitting dental crown. Implants provide both cosmetic and oral health benefits. Please visit our Dental Implants page where details about the benefits, types, care, and costs are shared in better detail.

Crowns & Bridges

Also known as 'caps', cosmetic crowns and bridges are custom shaped and created by our dentists and fit over your whole tooth. This procedure is great for when your teeth/tooth is poorly shaped, badly decayed, broken, chipped, containing large fillings, or to 'bridge' spaces between teeth. (Watch Video)

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are a dental shell made from medical-grade porcelain, which is bonded to the front of a tooth. This cosmetic treatment is a wonderful solution when teeth are chipped, cracked, discolored, or to re-sculpt teeth into the desired shape. We also provide full-coverage crowns that produce the same result, but are crowns, custom-made to fit over the entire tooth. (Watch Video)

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening ('teeth bleaching') systems help achieve whiter teeth so you can smile with confidence. Available in 3 delivery methods and 4 whitening-power strengths, this affordable and convenient cosmetic treatment helps achieve your teeth-whitening goals on-the-go, at home, or in our dental office. With professional teeth whitening, you'll see quicker and longer-lasting results compared to over-the-counter alternatives like Crest Whitestripes.

Opalescence Go

The professional alternative to over-the-counter whitening options, Opalescence Go delivers whitening gel in prefilled, disposable trays for a simple, fast, and convenient treatment – eliminating the need to create custom trays, so you can begin brightening your smile as soon as you leave our dentist office. No impressions, no models, no lab time, these discreet trays are worn for 15-60 minutes for a 5-10 day treatment and come in 2 strengths (10% and 15%). They're great to start a whitening treatment or for whitening touch-ups.

Opalescence PF At-Home

Our take-home whitening kit is great for those wanting the most customized whitening treatment possible. This system includes custom trays made from an impression of your mouth and a potassium and fluoride (PF) gel offered in 4 different concentration options (10%, 15%, 20%, and 35%). Trays are worn at nighttime or for as little as 15 minutes per day, depending on your treatment plan, with possible results seen after just 1 treatment, though noticeable results in about a week. Only available through our licensed dentists, please schedule a free consultation with Dr. Sjogren or Dr. Silva about creating your at-home whitening treatment plan with Opalescence PF.

Pola In-Office Whitening

The world's fasted tooth-whitening solution. Our in-office teeth-whitening treatment from Pola requires only one 30 minute appointment. Prior to whitening, a gum barrier is put in place to protect your gum tissue. Then, Pola's unique formulation is applied and immediately initiates the whitening process with peroxide ions to produce your ideal white smile for up to 12 months without needing a single touch-up. Our in-office whitening treatment does not require UV light therapy to accelerate the whitening process and contains neutral pH ingredients to keep your teeth and gums safe. (Watch Video)

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Composite fillings are used more often than amalgam or gold fillings and are a great choice for our patients who prefer a more natural look in their restorations. Modern, tooth-colored fillingsDental fillings, no matter the material, do not last forever and our resin fillings are a great choice for replacing older fillings that have worn out over time.  (Watch Video)

Gum Lifts

Also known as 'gum contouring', this procedure raises and sculpts the gum line by reshaping the tissue and/or underlying bone to achieve a more-ideal aesthetic appearance and symmetry.
